THE augmented choir of Union Street Baptist Church in Crewe will present ‘Apostle’, the latest work by Midlands composer Roger Jones on Saturday, April 26.

Starting at 7.30pm, the work tells an inspirational and yet challenging story of one man’s conversion to Christianity set to music, which includes chorus and solo items, as well as narration, some drama and humour thrown in.

No strangers to learning brand new music from scratch, the choir has gone from strength to strength in recent years.

It has welcomed many new members in all sections of the choir and is happy to take its own brand of music-making ‘on tour’ to other churches in South Cheshire.

David Greatbanks, choir director, said: “Music by Roger Jones is always a firm favourite here at Union Street, and we are delighted to be able to present his latest work to the audience in Crewe.

“We look forward to welcoming all friends, old and new, to share this music with us.”

Refreshments will be served and admission is free, although any donations will be gratefully received.
