POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious car collision in Elton near Sandbach.

At 3.45pm on Sunday May 25, emergency services attended a collision involving a grey Ford Fiesta and a blue Ford Fiesta on Hall Lane at its junction with Clay Lane.

At the time of the collision the grey Ford Fiesta was travelling along Hall Lane in the general direction of Sandbach when it collided with the blue Ford Fiesta that had emerged from Clay Lane onto Hall Lane.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the blue Ford Fiesta, a 20-year-old woman from the Tarvin area, received serious internal injuries and is being treated at North Staffordshire Hospital where her condition is described as stable.

The front seat passenger, a 21-year-old man from the Tarporley area, received serious internal injuries and is also at North Staffordshire Hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.

The driver of the grey Ford Fiesta, a 24-year-old man from Sandbach suffered minor injuries.

Cheshire Police are interested to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or witnessed the movements of either vehicle prior to the collision.
