THE teams behind two new housing estates in Northwich are appealing for families with young children to join a new junior board of design directors being created by a house builder.

Barratt is planning to ‘road test’ its show homes in the town by hosting play sessions for young children in them.

Parents will be invited to comment on the suitability of the layout and furniture selection in different rooms and suggest improvements that would make different rooms more family friendly.

They can put their children forward for a place at one of the play sessions by emailing barrattmanchester@havasww.com.

Alternatively, entries can be delivered by hand to the Cheshire Limes sales office on Silverlea Road, Lostock and the Imperial Park sales office on Winnington Avenue.

All of the children who take part will be appointed to the fun position of ‘junior design director’.

Applications for places must be received by June 6.

David Ince, sales manager at Cheshire Limes and Imperial Park, said: “Many Barratt homes are built with families with young children in mind and we want our show homes to reflect that so we are looking for local children to really put them through their paces.

“Appointing a junior board of design directors is a fun way for us to get really useful feedback. Each show home is always beautifully designed but we want families to add to the design by showing us how young children would use the space in different rooms.”
