MEMBERS of Seahorse Swimming Club in Crewe took part in a sponsored walk on Sunday May 18 to raise funds for St. Luke's Hospice.
The club, which caters for people with disabilities at Crewe swimming baths, embarked on a six-mile circular route from the Rising Sun pub in Middlewich Road.
“Some of the participants were as young as six years of age, so it was quite a tough challenge, but everyone was determined to complete this loop around Crewe and Nantwich,” said club secretary, Gareth Roberts.
“It was a super day for the walk and everyone who took part was so pleased to get involved and raise funds for this worthwhile cause. It is expected that £250 will be raised for St. Luke’s.”
