YOUNG people from across Cheshire East celebrated completing their National Citizen Service (NCS) programme during a graduation event at Crewe’s Lyceum Theatre.
Mayor of Cheshire East, clr Wesley Fitzgerald, was in attendance to congratulate the group of 15 to 17-year-olds on their success in raising more than £1,555 for the Connor Ruscoe Memorial fund.
The NCS enables young people to take part in outdoor activities like canoeing and abseiling, while also getting involved in community -minded initiatives that benefit the areas they live.
NCS is now recognised by UCAS and taking part is becoming a sought-after addition to any young person’s CV.
