MAYOR of Crewe, clr Pam Minshall, praised the creative talent of locals who entered the town council’s story writing competition.
The contest coincided with the inaugural Literary Festival, held on Saturday, June 21.
“I am extremely proud to have taken the lead on Crewe Telling Tales for the town council,” said clr Minshall.
“All the stories were filled with interesting plot twists and lots of imagination, which highlights the burgeoning talent we have in Crewe.
“All writers should be commended for their efforts and it was very difficult to choose a winner between them.”

Winner in the open category was Sheila Blackburn for her entry, ‘The Link’
