VIRGIN Trains will continue to ply the West Coast Main Line through Crewe after the Government awarded the company a new contract.
Virgin will pay £430 million to operate services along the line until 2017.
The contract comes two years after Virgin successfully contested the Government’s decision to award First Group the right to operate the London- Glasgow route.
