Clr Benn Minshull, Crewe deputy mayor, said: “We are hoping for a bumper event in the town centre and praying for good weather.

“This is an event for all the family with an exciting range of entertainment on stage and a raft of stalls providing tasters of food from around the world.

“Food will be available from 12, but we can’t guarantee how long the food will last, so my advice is to arrive early.

“We are really grateful to all the sponsors and to the volunteers who are putting themselves out to make this event a success.

“There is still time for you to come forward and take a stall, if you have an association with any nation of the world then contact the town council and we will help you show off that nation.”
