CREWE Police arrested a man after officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a house in Adelaide Street on Wednesday, July 2.
Officers forced entry to the mid terraced property at around 3.30pm and recovered cannabis bush with a potential street value of hundreds of pounds, from inside the house.
A 28-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of supplying cannabis and was interview by detectives.
Inspector Christian Watkins said “We are carrying out continual enforcement on the illegal supply of drugs in Crewe.
“We find that cannabis is the most common substance found when we carry out drug warrants, and as such it is vital that we continue to break this cycle of drug distribution as it is often the case that cannabis is the first drug of choice for younger people when they experiment with illegal substances.
“Similarly, we know that cannabis distribution funds other serious organised crime for which the repercussions for public safety are significant.”
Anyone with information on drugs supply in Crewe should call Cheshire Police non emergency number 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
