A WISTASTON couple held their annual fundraising garden party for Diabetes UK.
Sheena and Ken Sambrook, president and treasurer respectively of the Crewe and South Cheshire Voluntary Group of Diabetes UK, help raise £7,500 for the cause each year.
Among those attending the event were the mayor of Cheshire East, clr Wesley Fitzgerald and the mayoress, Mrs Joan Fitzgerald, along with the recently crowned Wistaston Rose Queen, Lucy Rowland, and her Attendant, Charlotte Shaw.
Ken said: “We are always amazed at the wonderful support we receive from friends in the local community.
“It makes the evening such a great success and enables us to continue to support Diabetes UK.”
