CHILDREN at a popular Crewe nursery were given the red carpet treatment at a special graduation ceremony.

Youngsters at Starting Point Child Care Centre, based at South Cheshire College, were given a fantastic send off by staff and other toddlers at the nursery.

More than 20 children, aged three and four years old, are now heading to primary school and many have attended the nursery since they were just a few months old.

They said their fond farewells at the presentation which took place in the forest which adjoins the nursery and outdoor play area.

Julie Jervis, Starting Point Child Care centre manager, said: “The graduation ceremony was a way of giving children the perfect send-off as they head to primary school in September.

“It’s sad to see them go as many of them have been with us since they were very young, but we wish them all the best for the future at school and beyond.”
