POLICE are advising the public to take care after a spate of burglaries in the West End area of Crewe.
The thefts have all been committed during the evening and early hours of the morning, between 8pm and 5am, from homes with unsecured windows and doors.
Detective Sergeant Jim Boulton is encouraging members of the public to remain vigilant and ensure their homes are left secure.
He said: “During nice weather, it is tempting to leave doors and windows open to allow some cool air into homes.
“However, we would encourage people to close windows in rooms which are unoccupied and to ensure that doors are locked.”
Anyone with information which would assisst police with their enquiries can contact DS Jim Boulton on 101. Information can also be left anonymously on the Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
