POLICE in Crewe have released CCTV footage of a man they want to speak to after three car tyres were slashed in the town.

Officers are appealing for information following the incident, which took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, July 20.

PCSO Lawrence Price, from Crewe Neighbourhood Policing Unit, is keen to find the man in the footage.

“We are committed to doing all we can to trace whoever is responsible for this offence and are urging anyone who has any information which could assist our enquiries to come forward,” said PSCO Price.

“The incident took place just after midnight but there is a chance someone may have seen or heard something significant.”

The CCTV footage shows an unknown man crouched near the car, before fleeing the scene. The incident is said to have taken place at 12.20am.

The secure car was parked on a driveway in Bodnant Close in Crewe at the time the criminal damage took place.

The vehicle recieved punctures to three tyres with a sharp implement that police believe to be a blade.

PCSO Price added: “The footage we have released shows a person with what we think is a distinctive limp heading towards, and getting on to a bicycle.

“If anyone can help us identify this individual, I would ask them to please contact us.”
