MAYOR of Crewe, clr Irene Faseyi, presented her three mayoral charities with a share in the £1,700 raised during her tenure.
Christians Against Poverty were given £700 and MacMillan Cancer Support and Leighton Hospital’s One in Eleven Appeal were given £500 each.
Clr Faseyi said: “I am very pleased to have raised this much money, it was very hard work as mayor, but fulfilling at the same time.
“I am so pleased to be able to make these donations thanks to the generosity of all those that contributed during my year as mayor of Crewe.
“I am dividing the money among my three charities and am so proud to hand the money over to them in person.”
