EMPLOYEES at CTC Healthcare in Crewe will face off in a sustainable transport challenge.
The workplace physical wellbeing specialists have been awarded a Local Sustainable Travel Grant from the Department for Transport, which will be used to host the Crewe Business Park Challenge this summer.
Team members will be asked to wear a pedometer and record their sustainable travel journeys, with prizes awarded to the most environmentally conscious employees.
Rick Carter, managing director of ctchealthcare, said: “We’re delighted to have been awarded a Sustainable Travel Grant, which will help us to support sustainable transport initiatives by encouraging employers and employees to find smarter ways to travel around Crewe.
"This will be a great way to give something back to the community by helping to lower CO2 emissions and reductions in road congestion. Not only will the challenge benefit Crewe’s environment but will also help to reduce the levels of absenteeism within the workplace and improve productivity through improving the physical health and fitness.”
