REAL Ale campaigners in Crewe will be putting on a beer festival in the town's heritage centre this weekend.

The Crewe Rail Ale Festival will take place on August 29, 30 and 31.

The festival will feature more than 50 beers mainly from Cheshire, and Cider/Perries. Free soft drinks for kids and drivers.

Entry costs £3 and allows access to the Heritage Centre's attraction's until 8pm, with opportunity to see mainline engines in steam, mini train rides and more, with the evening entry fee for the live entertainment.

On Friday the festival will open at noon and close at 11pm, while on Saturday it will open from 11am until 11pm.

On Sunday it will open at 12pm and close at 3pm or until the beer runs out.

Food will be available at all times, with live music on Friday and Saturday night.
