A CREWE woman suffered head injuries when a piece of metal sheeting was blown from the roof of a shop on Nantwich Road.
Olivier White, aged 32, was walking to work at Springfield School when she was struck on the back of the head by the metal debris.
She said: "I was just walking along when this sheet of metal hit me from behind.
"It was a fairly thin sheet, but it was about a metre square and had obviously fallen some distance before it struck me.
"I was shocked more than anything else. A lady from a nearby shop took me in and sat me down.
"It could have been a lot worse I suppose.
"It didn't cut my head, but I still have bruising. I went to hospital to have it checked out in A and E, and they told me to take it easy for a bit.
"I have suffered from headaches over the past couple of days, but I am starting to feel better."
