THREE men and a woman from Crewe have appeared in court this morning, Friday, following a series of drugs raids held across the town. 

On Thursday, November 6, Cheshire Police carried out a series of dawn raids in Crewe, Congleton, Weaverham and Winsford as well as at addresses in Staffordshire and Greater Manchester.

Ninety officers were involved in the raids which resulted in the arrest of a significant number of people suspected of being involved in the illegal supply of controlled drugs.

Cash and other evidence of drug related activity was seized during the raids.

As a result of the raids Joseph Horton, 22, of Alexander Place, Crewe, Stephanie Rowley, 24, of Sunnybank Road, Crewe, Dean Ashley, 23, of Crewe Road Shavington, Crewe and Daniel Roberts, 26, of Richard Street, Crewe were all arrested and all due to appear at Runcorn Magistrates Court this morning, November 7, charged with conspiracy to Supply Controlled Drugs.

ACC Guy Hindle said: "This action demonstrates and reinforces the commitment that Cheshire police and our partner agencies have in targeting those people who undermine our communities and bring misery to residents.

"We have already achieved notable successes in the recovery of significant quantities of controlled drugs and the arrests and conviction of a number of drug dealers in Cheshire.

"We want to send out a clear message that we will continue to take the issue of drug related crime extremely seriously and devote all the resources we can to arresting those involved in dealing drugs.
