A CREWE man wanted in connection with kidnapping and serious assault has been tracked down by police and charged with several offences.
Thirty-nine-year-old Patrick Joseph O’Connor from Crewe, who has also lived in Nantwich, was arrested by officers in Torquay on Wednesday, November 12, and later charged with false imprisonment, kidnapping, robbery, assault and perverting the course of justice.
The arrest came after an appeal made by police earlier this month which asked the public for information as to the whereabouts of O’Connor.
Inspector Bob Hassall said: "Information from the public is vital and I would like to thank the public for the support that we have received in this case."
O’Connor was charged with the offences after being transported to Cheshire and questioned by officers.
