THE operator of a Crewe care home has scooped a prestigious award at this year’s Great North West Care Awards.
CLS Care Service, a charitable organisation which operates The Elms care home, was presented with the Care Employer Award at a recent ceremony at the Palace Hotel in Manchester.
The group was selected for its demonstration of strong leadership and performance management, as well as its continuing commitment to investing in its staff.
Judges were also impressed by the ‘clearly passionate’ management team and praised them for their focus on staff wellbeing and performance.
Phil Orton, head of people for the CLS Group, said the group was thrilled with the win.
He added: “The quality of our staff is what makes CLS so successful. We are determined to make the quality of our workforce one of the best in the industry and being so well represented at the Great North West Care Awards is a sign that we are on the right track.”
The Elms, on Elm Drive, is a purpose-built home for older people and services include 24 hour residential care, respite care and day care.
