NANTWICH residents who remember carefree play days of bygone times are being invited to pop down to Nantwich Museum tomorrow, Saturday.

The museum is holding a special drop-in day on November 22, from 11am-3pm, to gather information about societies and leisure groups which would be used in its forthcoming ‘Nantwich at Play’ exhibition.

Nantwich Museum’s research group is assembling and analysing information for possible use in the exhibition and would like to hear the reminiscences of anyone who can recall aspects of leisure activities in the town.

The museum is keen to map the ways in which leisure in the town has changed over the years and is particularly interested in information up to and including the 1960s.

These might include sports, clubs, societies, the theatre, cinema or dances. Photos and posters of events would also be of interest.

For further information contact the museum on 01270 627104 or enquiries@nantwichmuseum.org.uk.
