AN Oxford graduate has been appointed to oversee operations at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Crewe campus.
Janet Haddock-Fraser has taken over the role from Dennis Dunn, who retired last summer.
As the first Provost of MMU Cheshire, Janet has overall management control of all activity at the Crewe campus, academic, administrative and estates.
Professor Haddock-Fraser joins MMU from Canterbury Christchurch University, where she was Dean of Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences, a faculty embracing business, human and life sciences, law, and psychology.
As Professor of Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility, her research focuses on motivations for social and environmental responsibility, including funded research on consumer behaviour and attitudes towards food, tourism and land use.
A Geography graduate of Oxford University with a Masters and PhD from Hong Kong University, Professor Haddock-Fraser’s has extensive teaching experience and has been responsible for Masters’ programmes at Imperial Collge, Royal Halloway and University of London.
