A TEENAGER was thrown to floor and robbed by a hooded attacker in Crewe.

Around 5.30pm on Monday, January 12, the 19-year-old victim was walking along Flag Lane when he was followed by the offender.

The attacker followed the victim on to Richard Moon Street and overtook him before appearing to enter an alleyway leading to Bateman Close.

As the victim walked past the alleyway the attacker grabbed the victim and forced him to the floor.

He snatched the victim′s MP3 player and mobile phone before fleeing the scene in the direction of Goddard Street.

DC Jo Gooddy of Crewe CID said: "Fortunately the victim was not injured during the incident but he was left shaken by what had happened.

"We are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed the incident or who may know who the offender is.”

The offender is described as white, about 5′9, aged between 20 and 21 years old with a heavy muscular build.

He had black spiky hair and was wearing a red and grey hooded top with grey tracksuit bottoms. His face was covered with a scarf.
