A FORMER South Cheshire College student is plotting his way to success after going from strength-to-strength with a town planning consultancy.

Enterprising Daniel Lee is laying firm foundations in the business world with Nantwich-based Richard Lee Project Planning Ltd where he works as a Planning Assistant.

The 20-year-old headed straight to the workplace after completing his Business BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma programme at the college’s Crewe campus.

Daniel has a broad remit during his role where he deals with planning applications, meets with clients and handles the advertising and marketing for the company.

Richard Lee Project Planning are qualified and experienced town planning consultants.

Daniel has fond memories of his time at South Cheshire College and believes the choice of business course was the perfect match for him.

He is putting many of the business skills he learnt into practice on a day-to-day basis with the company.

The former Shavington High School pupil said: “I’m loving the role even though it has been a steep learning curve for me since leaving college.

“The job is very varied and although I’m mainly office based I travel to different parts of the country to meet new and existing clients.”

Richard Lee Project planning works with organisations throughout Cheshire, the North West, West Midlands and Yorkshire and handles all aspects of planning including housing, commercial and mixed use developments on previously developed land and greenfield sites.

Now Daniel already has ambitions to set up his own planning business in the future after learning so much in such a short space of time.

Daniel said: “I’m relishing the chance to progress in the future. I’ve still got a lot to learn but working in the business sector is definitely for me.”
