THE swashbuckling tales of Sinbad the Sailor are set to enthral audiences at this year’s Shavington Village Festival in Crewe.

The Pantomime Adventures of Sinbad will be the Shavington Village Festival Committee’s 37th annual pantomime.

Shavington High School will host the fun-filled adventure, which was written by Bradford & Webster, from February 17-21.

The pantomime company have previously delighted audiences with classics such as Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and Treasure Island.

A spokesman for Bradford & Webster said: “Sinbad sets sail in one of his most successful adventures, dreaming of his new love Saffron and exotic places.

"But you can be sure the evil sorceress Alesha will try to create mayhem.

"Enjoy terrific special effects, colourful costumes and comedy abounding and your audience participation will be requested, ‘oh yes it is’.

"There will be plenty of hilarious scenes and traditional family fun for all to enjoy, with fun and frolics.”

Bradford & Webster are considered as one of the best amateur pantomime groups in the north west.

Last year’s production, the Pantomime Adventures of Robin Hood was one of their most successful productions to date, and was met with rave reviews.

Tickets for the Pantomime Adventures of Sinbad cost £8.50 for adults and £5.50 for seniors and children.
