HOMEBUILDER Taylor Wimpey has announced that work is due to start at its much-anticipated Stoneley Park development in Coppenhall, as part of the wider rejuvenation of Crewe.

The 650 home development will soon be open to the public and will progress over several phases, with the first featuring 215 family homes – 33 of which will be affordable, and in a variety of two to five bedroom designs.

As well as job creation throughout the build process, Taylor Wimpey will also be providing a number of other local benefits to the area including, a children’s play area, a pub and a local store.

Christine Aitken, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “This is an incredibly exciting new venture, that will provide both first-time buyers in the area, as well as existing home-owners, a real chance to progress on the housing ladder.

“We will offer a broad selection of two to five bedroom designs, in a range of different styles including detached, semi-detached, mews and even bungalows, so there will be something for everyone.

“We will also have a range of schemes available like Help to Buy to support buyers at all levels of the property market.”

The government-backed Help to Buy scheme enables buyers to secure a brand-new home, worth up to the value of £600,000, with just a five per cent deposit.

Christine added: “In addition to the new homes, Stoneley Park will no doubt create a lovely community that can take full advantage of all of the great new amenities we will be providing.

“We will be opening our doors this spring - and as the development has already generated a lot of interest, I would urge anybody interested in moving to the area to register their interest for more regular updates.”
