OPERA sensation Russell Watson will look to put eight years of hell behind him when he performs in Crewe following two life-threatening brain tumours.

The People’s Tenor has just embarked on a 53-date UK tour, defying doctors who told him he would never sing again.

The Lyceum Theatre in Crewe will host an intimate evening with Russell Watson, accompanied by Crewe Male Voice Choir on Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21.

“I love being accompanied by choirs and the energy and excitement they bring,” Russell said.

“I am really looking forward to this tour and feel that a local choir will be the perfect addition to the evening.”

In November 2006, Russell, who has sold more than seven million albums worldwide, was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour.

It was removed on the eve of his 40th birthday, but came back with a vengeance a year later.

Now, more than eight years later, the inspirational tenor is going to turn back the clock and share his booming singing voice with the world once again.
