NANTWICH Civic Hall rolled back the years at the Mayor’s charity dance.
The event, which was organised by Cllr Arthur Moran, was hosted to raise money for the Mayor’s charities including Nantwich Players, Nantwich in Bloom and Nantwich Museum.
Todd Miller and The Joe Loss Orchestra played a wide variety of music spanning the past 50 years from the Glenn Miller era right through to present day and the likes of Adele and Cee Lo Green.
Cllr Moran said: “I have been working with Todd and the band for over 20 years now and each time the events just get better and better.
“We are delighted with the success of the evening and the amount we raised for local organisations.”
Todd Miller and Joe Loss Orchestra have entertained at two Royal Weddings and regularly perform at Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.
The Joe Loss Orchestra has been in operation since 1930 and has never disbanded or reformed. The orchestra is now Britain’s’ longest running live entertainment company of any kind.
Cllr Moran added: “Everyone had a fantastic evening, and it was great to see all generations on the dance floor, even the Mayor was up dancing.”
