A WOMAN has been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation following a fire at a chip shop this afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the business in Welsh Row, Nantwich, at 3.41pm.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire, which involved a fryer and extractor ducting.
A large fan was used to remove smoke from the property, and a thermal imaging camera was used to check the flat above for the possible spread of the fire.
Three fire engines attended the blaze, two from Crewe and one from Nantwich.
