A NANTWICH pub is toasting to its success after being named South Cheshire CAMRA’s 'Community Pub of the Year'.

The Globe, on Audlem Road on the outskirts of Nantwich, and is a well-established pub and has a strong following in Nantwich and the surrounding area.

CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale), was established in 1971, and each year hand out several awards, which are held in high esteem in the industry.

Owners of The Globe, Rachel Icke, Nick Icke and Carl Brookfield were ‘over the moon’ when they received the call from CAMRA.

“Our aim is to ensure that our customers receive the best service and quality products” said Nick.

“We are the brewery tap for local ales brewed by Woodlands Brewery who have also won awards for their beers.”

Carl, who is also a chef at The Globe, was especially pleased to see the hard work of the three owners recognised by the respected organisation.

The Globe is now a well-established pub and has a strong following in Nantwich and the surrounding area.

Customers are invited to leave feedback, which the owners strive to act upon when possible.

Punters regularly praise the standard of service and the high quality of the food, wine and beer.

Carl said: “All three owners continually strive to make The Globe the best pub in the area. We all welcome the award as it’s a pat on the back for all our effort.”

Rachel said that they would display their certificate with pride in the bar area.
