A NANTWICH police constable is to face a charge of common assault following an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
PC Matthew James Ambrose, based at Nantwich police station, has been summonsed to appear at Manchester City Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 27.
The charge relates to an allegation that Ambrose assaulted a 19-year-old man during an arrest.
The incident happened in Swine Market, Nantwich, in the early hours of Saturday, November 1, 2014.
