GLAUCOMA sufferers are being invited to talk about their condition with healthcare staff and fellow patients at Leighton Hospital.

The hospital-run support group will take place on Thursday, May 28, and staff are encouraging patients and their family and friends to attend.

The event, which is free to attend, will be taking place between 2.00pm and 4.30pm in Nantwich at St Mary's Church Parish Hall on Church Walk.

Glaucoma is a condition which can affect sight, usually due to build up of pressure within the eye.

Glaucoma often affects both eyes, usually to varying degrees. One eye may develop glaucoma quicker than the other.

Those who attend Leighton Hospital's support group will be able to meet with some of the doctors and nurses who make up the Glaucoma team at the hospital.

They will also be able to suggest topics for future support group meetings. There is no need to register for the event.
