A CAR salesman who joined Crewe Audi straight from school has scooped an award from one of the motor industry’s leading magazines.

Josh Bloor, 21, has been named a 2015 Motor Trader Rising Star in the title’s inaugural UK search for the next generation of movers and shakers.

The magazine launched the competition earlier this year to find those people already regarded as outstanding talents, with great business acumen who are seen as an inspiration to their peers.

Josh, from Crewe, began as a customer service apprentice five years ago after joining his local Audi dealership straight from school, and is now a trainee sales executive.

“I still can’t quite believe that I have won,” Josh said.

“It is a real honour to be one of first Rising Stars, and I am so grateful to Crewe Audi for nominating me – I can’t thank them enough for believing in me.

“Not only am I chuffed to bits to win, but it also confirms that I made the right decision when I quit school to start my motors career. I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do.”

Judges said they were looking for hard working, forward looking and ambitious nominees, and said Josh was an ‘exceptional young man’ and ‘very much the essence of what Rising Stars is all about’.

Head of business at Crewe Audi, John Nimbley, said: “Josh is a wonderful young man.

“He’s thrown himself in to everything he’s been asked to do, so when he asked me if there was an opportunity for a sales trainee role, I knew he would give it his all.

“He’s proved me right, excelling in his new role as he did in his previous position.

“There is no doubt he will rise far up the career ladder, but, he is a thoroughly nice lad and I can think of few people more deserving of the title Rising Star than him.”
