THIS year’s Nantwich Show is in line to smash all previous records when it returns to the town next week.

The Nantwich Show will take place on Dorfold Park showground, Nantwich, on Wednesday, July 29.

In 2014 more than 35,000 attended on show day, which is largely down to the International Cheese Awards – an integral part of the Nantwich Show.

This year will see more than 4,500 cheeses from around the world will be on display in the 83,000 sq ft cheese tent, which has been extended to accommodate the extra cheese. up from last year’s figure of 4,443.

Joint secretary for the Nantwich Show, Adrian Lawrence, said: “There is truly something for everyone’s taste from Tasty Cheshire to Vintage Cheddar to the smoothest of soft cheeses.

“And not forgetting those with additives – Red Leicester with Authentic Indian Chutney for those adventurous cheese lovers.”

It’s not just the tent that has increased in size neither. The show is set to be the biggest to date, with more than 450 partners involved, including a number of celebrity chefs.

James Martin will be making his fifth appearance at the show, and fellow chefs Will Holland, Jonathan Harrison will also be on hand to show off their culinary skills.

Former Coronation Street actor-turned Chef, Sean Wilson, is also due to make an appearance at the show.

Mr Lawrence added: “All the chefs will be doing cookery demonstrations in the Le Gruyere Cookery Theatre – make sure you are there to pick up some culinary tips.”

Advance tickets cost £15 for adults, £10 for senior citizens, £5 for five to 16-years-olds and £35 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).

Tickets can be purchased on the door though prices will be more expensive.
