A HUSBAND and wife duo from Crewe have picked up their 54th gold award by wowing judges with a range of perennial plants.
54-year-old Richard Fox and his wife Vicky set up plantagogo.com, which is based on Snape Lane in Englesea Brook, in 1990 to supply Heuchera, Heucherella and Tiarella plants across Europe.
Twenty-five years on they are still celebrating success, bringing their Crewe based business to Tatton Flower Show to showcase their range of their plants to the public.
Richard said: “I always aim for gold at the shows. I think the plants are so popular because they are hardy things, they are evergreen all hold their colour all year.
“Our plants come in a multitude of different colours, and they are very versatile- they can be used in hanging baskets and in gardens all year round.”
“We are very proud of all the work we have done. Some people go a lifetime without getting a medal so we are very pleased that we have done it.”
