RICHMOND Village Nantwich won Best Stand at the Nantwich Show for the second year in a row.

The mock vintage tea room swooped the award in the category of Non Agricultural Small Stand.

Staff from the retirement villages served complimentary hot drinks, homemade cakes and scones to visitors of the show throughout the day.

Dressed in 1940s Land Girl outfits, refreshments were served to the sound of wartime favourites piping from the Gramophone.

It was suitably themed following successful Armed Forces and VE Day celebrations and the stand was filled throughout the day with visitors of all ages. Sian Walker-Hirst, village adviser said: "We were over the moon to have received the award following a fantastic day. We are already thinking of stand ideas for next year to see if we can make it a three year victory."
