THE Italian restaurant chain Bella Italia has opened its latest UK eatery in Crewe.

The £800k restaurant, based at Grand Junction Retail Park, officially opened last month.

Bella Italia Crewe, which is open seven days a week, will house a whopping 164 covers and has created more than 30 new jobs.

Darrell Prentice, general manager of Bella Italia Crewe, said: “We’re delighted to have opened our doors in a town that’s as busy and bustling as Crewe.

“The new restaurant is a special one for Bella as it’s the first for the town, and is opening at a time when our menu is the best it’s ever been – we’re working with more amazing Italian producers than ever before.

“We think Crewe will love everything that Bella has to offer.”

Bella Italia is part of the Casual Dining Group, which is owned by Apollo Global Management.

There are currently 86 Bella Italia restaurants throughout the UK, with the company seeking to increase the number of sites through building in new locations.

The company also plans to refurbish some of its existing restaurants to give them a ‘revitalised look and feel’.
