YOUNG farmers from Nantwich came runners up in the Cheshire YFC Junior Quiz final.

Nantwich Young Farmers Club (YFC) got through to the final for the first time since 1988. They were narrowly beaten by winners Congleton YFC in the final.

The team was made up of Amelia Latham (captain), Charlotte Barber, Jonathon Proudlove, David Vernon, Lisa Vernon and Jenny Barnett. The competition is for club members who are under 21 years of age.

The quiz included questions on general knowledge and current affairs, both within agriculture and beyond. This year a buzzer round and a mastermind round were also added.

Jonathon gave a speech on ‘Good communication’ and Charlotte did the agricultural speech with the title being ‘Great British Milk.’
