A FORMER live music venue in Crewe has been damaged by a fire this evening, Wednesday.
Firefighters are currently tackling the blaze at the Limelight Music Club in Hightown.
The club established itself as one of the country’s top venues for live tribute acts but closed its doors to the public in January 2010.
It has remained empty ever since.
Cheshire Police has confirmed that there are road closures in place in the area at the junction of West Street and Gatefield Road.
Please be aware of current road closures at Hightown jct West Street and Gatefield Road at Crewe. This is due to a building fire.
