A CREWE resident transformed his home into a Hallowe’en ‘House of Horrors’ to raise money for cancer care.

Richard Stack, 53, decked his back garden with ghoulish creations, wicked witches and a mini-graveyard for a special Hallowe’en party in support of the national charity.

Richard and his partner James entered into the fright night fun by dressing up in spooky outfits for their party while Hocus Pocus videos were projected onto the back of the house.

Headless corpses, pumpkins, talking ghouls, a ghost clock, and skeletons, cobwebs and spiders and a scary butler al helped to create a chilling atmosphere.

“James and I love Hallowe’en and transforming the garden for one day and night only in the year,” Richard said.

Richard, a Building Services Officer at South Cheshire College, enters into the Hallowe’en spirit each year to raise money for different charities.

This year he helped raise more than £1000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

He said: “There is always a lot of interest in what we do and I’m really grateful to local businesses who have donated items and helped us to add the vital finishing touches to the garden.

“In particular, we would like to thank Marie Curie, The Cat Community Radio station, Costa Coffee in Crewe and six other Costa Coffee shops for their generous support.”
