SCHOOLGIRL Aelish Terry has welcomed a giant soft toy rabbit to her family after winning The Market Shopping Centre’s Easter egg hunt.

Shoppers who visited the centre in Victoria Street, Crewe, on Easter Saturday were asked to put their detective skills to the test and find 10 eggs hidden around the centre.

Successful egg-hunters received an Easter treat and were invited to enter a competition to name the giant soft toy.

Aelish, 12, completed the egg hunt with her sister Paige, 14, and named the rabbit Cotton-Tail.

She said: “We really enjoyed the Easter egg hunt and thought it was quite tricky, but we found all of the eggs in the end.

“I thought that Cotton-Tail would be a great name for the bunny, and am looking forward to taking it home with me.”

The fun continues at The Market Shopping Centre on Wednesday, April 13, when it will host a free Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Roald Dahl’s birth.
