THE sky is the limit for colleagues from Crewe-based business Alextra Accountants.

Eight staff from the firm are to take part in a skydive from 10,000 feet in aid of the MRI Scanner Appeal for Leighton Hospital.

The colleagues are taking part in the fundraiser on April 23, and progress on the jump can be followed via Alextra Accountants social media pages – Facebook and Twitter.

Donations can be made on their Just Giving Page at www.justgiving.com/AlextraSkydive.

One of the skydivers, director Shawn Gallimore said: “The MRI Scanner Appeal is a great cause to be a part of, and being a Crewe-based company we wanted to do something which could positively impact the local community.

“We were looking for a challenge that would push all of us out of our comfort zone.

“Being a self-professed adrenaline junkie myself, I was more than willing to accept this challenge.

“It was also a great excuse to do something adventurous, what with turning 40 this year.

“We have an amazing team here at Alextra and I am looking forward to completing the jump along with the seven others.”

Leighton Hospital’s current MRI scanner works to full capacity between 8am and 8pm, seven days a week, and a new MRI scanner is needed to allow the hospital to continue delivering first-class healthcare to more than 300,000 people in Cheshire, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas.
