CREWE Engineering & Design University Technical College has welcomed national brands Network Rail and Air Products on board as Employer Partners.

The new STEM-oriented school, which will open in September, is now partnered with 14 companies, including Bentley Motors, Siemens, GE, James Walker, Leoni and Bosch.

Crewe E & D UTC’s Employer Partners will support students to help them reach their potential while generating the skilled workforce of the future.

Network Rail runs, maintains and develops Britain’s rail infrastructure, and will use its expertise to enhance the education of Crewe E & D UTC students and prepare them for careers in industry.

Air Products is an industrial gases company with an operational base in Crewe. Its experience across a variety of sectors will allow Crewe E & D UTC students to benefit from specialised focus, while site visits and special projects will support them with practical learning.

Crewe Engineering & Design UTC will specialise in engineering, design and manufacturing, and is supported by Employer Partners including Bentley Motors, Air Products, Network Rail, OSL, GE, Siemens, Bosch, Network Rail and Air Products.

The new school will offer students the opportunity of work experience with national and local brands whilst gaining GCSEs, A-Levels and Technical Award qualifications.

Crewe Engineering & Design UTC aims to deliver the next generation of skilled industry professionals.

Applications for September admissions are still open and limited places are still available. There will be an open day at Bentley showroom in Crewe on May 24, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
