STAFF from a leading mobility scooter retailer decided to go out on foot to raise money for charity.

A group of Ableworld head office staff took part with their families in a 5k ‘Bubble Rush’ charity run at Oulton Park on Saturday, May 14.

They ran through the entire course, which included four stations of coloured foam bubbles.

Their valiant efforts help raise more than £1000 for St Luke’s Hospice.

Around 3,500 people took part in the event, which was organised by St Luke’s Hospice, which are based in Winsford.

The hospice supports anyone living with a life-limiting illness from the moment they’re diagnosed.

Their specialist nursing team provides one-to-one care and support, so patients are able to cope with illness and live well.

St Luke’s also offer counselling and bereavement support to every patient’s family, preparing and helping them understand their grief and cope with their loss.

The hospice costs £8,600 per day to support patient care so Ableworld are proud to have helped them continue with their amazing work.

Ableworld, which have a total of 32 stores nationwide, aim to provide caring solutions for customers enabling them to enjoy greater independence and more comfortable and active lives.
