PERFORMING arts students at South Cheshire College are gearing up for a series of sizzling summer dance shows.

Level 2 and 3 students are staging the triple-header of shows which start on Tuesday, May 24 in the college’s Centre Stage Theatre.

Students will be performing a range of dance styles which they have learned on their courses, including contemporary, jazz, ballet, Bollywood and musical theatre.

The eye-catching shows will also include the second year dancers performing their own choreography pieces and improvisation routines.

These performances follow on from successful Spring Dance shows which the students used to showcase their skills earlier this year.

The first show takes place on Tuesday, May 24 at 1pm, while there will be further performances on Wednesday, May 25 at 1pm and Thursday, May 26 at 7pm.

Laura Scragg, Performing Arts Lecturer at South Cheshire College, said: “The students can’t wait to show off their skills again at the summer shows.

“They are rehearsing really hard in the run up to the performances and I am sure there will be something to whet everyone’s appetite.

“The support students receive at these shows is much appreciated and will give them valuable experience of performing in front of a live theatre audience.”

Tickets are priced at £4.50 for adults and £3.50 for concessions and are available at the Elements reception in college.
