THE mum of a 22-year-old woman who died after taking drugs on a night out in Crewe has urged the public to help find her supplier.

Stephanie Shevlin was at the Box nightclub in Crewe on Saturday night when she became ill and fell unconscious.

Emergency services were called around 1.50am on Sunday and was taken to Leighton Hospital. She died a short time later.

It was later established she suffered an adverse reaction to drugs she had taken, which are believed to MDMA.

Michelle, Stephanie’s mum, has urged members of the public to help the police find the culprit who supplied her daughter with the deadly drugs.

She said: “My daughter Stephanie was a vibrant, bubbly and beautiful 22-year-old girl with her whole life in front of her.

"She was due to start college in September studying computers.

“To have her life cruelly taken away in this manner is soul destroying and all I want is for my little baby to come home.

“If anyone can help me and my family find out who supplied these drugs to my daughter then I would appeal for them to come forward and help the police.”

DCS Serena Kennedy said it was likely that Stephanie bought the drugs prior to the night out.

She said: “We would urge anybody who may have taken the drug to seek urgent medical attention.”

“This is a tragic situation and my thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim”
