A FIRE at a disused scout hut is believed to have been started deliberately.
Firefighters were called to a fire in Mirion Street, Crewe, at 1.23pm on Saturday, June 25.
Cheshire Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters tackling a fire at a disused scout hut found the blaze had been started deliberately.
“The crews used two hose reel jets and a covering jet to put out the fire in the 20 metre x 8 metre building. A high pressure fan was also used to assist in extinguishing the blaze.
“Police were asked to attend and anyone with any information about this incident is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 497 of 25 June.”
