AN E-FIT has been released of a man wanted in connection with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in Crewe.

The victim was walking towards the path in Cranborne Road on Thursday, May 19, at around at 9.45pm.

The path started behind the old Cumberland Arms on Middlewich Street and runs up to Cranborne Road.

As the victim approached, a man who was stood at the end of the path began making inappropriate advances and comments to girl.

Officers are now seeking the public’s help in tracing the man and have released an e-fit based on the victim’s description.

He is described as white British and was wearing red and orange jeans with a black waist length coat.

On the back of his coat was a silver trapezium shape picture, which went a quarter of the way down the back.

Anyone who may recognise the identity of the e-fit or may have witnessed the incident take place, is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting the incident number 939 of May 19.
