A YOUNGSTER from Crewe has won a national competition that asked people to imagine a world of mischief their pets got up to when they are alone.

Pets at Home's My Pet Pals competition tasked entrants to either draw or write a story about what they think their pet gets up to when they are not around.

Teagan Daniels, aged seven, from Crewe, drew a picture of her cat, Kitkat, finding a rabbit hole that led to Wonderland.

Darren Morrall, store manager at Pets at Home Crewe, said: “We were delighted to be able to invite Teagan and Kitkat to our store and present them with their award and hamper.

“We had some great competition entries but Teagan’s entry really stood out and simply captured our imagination.”

After finding out she had scooped the top prize, Teagan and Kitkat were invited to the Crewe store to celebrate.

They took part in a personal photo shoot and received a hamper full of pet treats and goodies.

The competition launched the start of the My Pet Pals Summer Activity Club, a series of free interactive pet workshops which will educate the next generation of pet owners on how to care for pets responsibly.

Workshops will be taking place in every Pets at Home store across the country all throughout the summer holidays.

Shelly Daniels, Teagan’s mum, said: “I can’t believe Teagan has won the My Pet Pals competition.

Teagan and Kitkat are the best of friends, Kitkat really spark’s Teagan’s imagination.”
