A MAN was rescued from the River Weaver in Nantwich this morning.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Welsh Row just before 7am this morning.
Fire engines from Warrington, Crewe and Chester attended the scene.
The water incident unit from Warrington and the rope rescue unit from Knutsford also attended.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Water rescue firefighters rescued a man from water in Nantwich.
“Two crew members went into the River Weaver and brought the casualty safely to the riverbank. Police were also in attendance.”
